replacing centerboard (Boat maintenance)
Posted by:
![]() Date: 04/30/2011 06:07AM Hey! I'm new to the forum, this is my first post. I was hoping someone could help me. I have a Sumner Islands 19. Thing have been going great, over 70 miles since Feb. The centerboard had been repaired but was working perfect. Well, it is gone now. Last Sunday I was beating windward back to the pier with a steady 15 to 20 and it broke. I guess to much pressure for the repair. Pull line is limp, and I motored up to the beach. No centerboard. Any advice? Can you buy a replacement or are they more specific to make and model of boat. I know Sumner isn't around and only a limited number of 19's were made. Good wind & fair seas |
