Captain---Leaps Short Buildings with a single bound. Is more powerful than a shunting engine. Is just as fast as a speeding bullet. Walks on water when it is calm. TALKS WITH GOD Commander---Leaps Short Buildings with a running start. Is almost as powerful as a shunting engine. Is slower than a speeding bullet. Walks on water in indoor swimming pools. TALKS WITH GOD IF SPECIAL FORM IS PROVIDED Lieutenant Commander---Barely clears little huts. Loses tug-a-war with shunting engine. Can fire a speeding bullet. IS OCCASIONALLY ADDRESSED BY GOD Lieutenant---Makes high marks when trying to leap tall buildings. Is run over by shunting engines. Can sometimes handle a gun without inflicting self-injury. Dog paddles. TALK TO ANIMALS Sub Lieutenant---Runs into buildings. Recognizes shunting engines two or three times. Is not issued with ammunition. Can stay afloat if instructed in Mae West. TALKS TO WALLS Midshipman---Falls over doorstep when trying to enter a building. Says " Look at the CHOO-CHOO" Not allowed elastic for his slingshot. Plays in puddles. MUMBLES TO HIMSELF Chief Petty Officer---Lifts buildings and walks under them. Kicks locomotives of the tracks. Catches in his teeth and eats them. Freezes water with a single glance. HE IS GOD! They are also Army and Air Force ranks ![]() I remember that for a while they were calling Navy Captains Colonels, that didn't go down too well with our matelots! And it didn't last. in fact within a year of unification people started designing their own uniforms. The RCAF brought back the wedge and the Army the Beret. navy followed a few years later with a blue version of the uniform and the army by the 80s had brought back the Khakis, most of this stuff was sold at The Canex stores. Lots of fun, parades looked like a UN assembly of multicolored outfits ![]() |
