Hi,

I am a beginer who has become the proud owner of a mistral 12 sail boat.
I'm looking for a rudder and tiller. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?
Does it have to be exact or do other tillers fit other boats? thanks jeb

Hi,

did you find a rudder for your Mistral? I am looking for one as well and wonder if you could tell me where you found one?

Ken

Have purchased a Mistral 12 sailboat recently. It needs some fiberglass work on the floor right where it trun sharply to rise up to the seat. There is plenty of instruction available for flatish repairs. Is there any trick to such a right angle?

Any forum where owners of Mistral 12's compare notes?

I have a newly purchased Mistral 12 manufactured in 1982. I believe I have a problem with internal flooding of the flotation chambers. The boat sank the last time in the water. I noticed that water was flowing out of the port below the self bailer port in the stern when I lifted the boat out of the water. My question is what is the purpose of this port. It appears water is flooding the internal flotation chambers through this port. Should there be a plug on this port? There are some cracks on the sole at the junction with the vertical wall for the seat. I doubt though the the high volume of water is entering through these cracks. The cabin does stay dry as the internal chamber floods.
