Hello,

Following our users' suggestion in 2003, we brought several changes to our Boats for Sale section. We think these changes will make it much easier for everyone to find what they are looking for.

Fisrt, we modify the program so that each new ad is now on top of the list for the first 15 days. So it will be very easy for a user to find what is newly published.

CATEGORY CHANGES

A new category has been created. It's the "Co-Owner Wanted". This will be usefull for those who wish to sale share only and not their whole boat.

A MOTOR SAILOR is a specific type of MONHAUL while a TRAWLER is a specific type of MOTOR BOAT. They were many listing in the MOTOR SAILOR category that should have been in the MONOHAUL. Because is was somewhat confusing to users, we merge the MOTOR SAILOR with the MONOHAUL and the TRAWLERS with the MOTOR BOAT.

CLEANUP

Last we clean up the Boat for Sale section. All ads that were forgoten by the owner have been removed. All counters have been updated.

We hope these changes are for the best. Please make you comments on our forum.

I would like to suggest that you have a new section for sharing the use of boats. For example, I found a user willing to share cost for seasonal use on a half half basis. The boat remains mine,but he exchanges boat time with a cost sharing arrangement that is mutually agreed to.(for example dock fees, maintenance cost etc). This allows the owner to continue to utilize his boat while reducing his overall seasonal cost. This avoids putting the boat up for charter and keeps the insurance costs low.

You mean like a swp section. We use to have one and it's not that I don't want to reactivate it but I sort of lack the time to do.

One day I will get back to it and it might be sooner that later.
